Xiaomian

Good morning friends. Today I present to you one of my favorite plates in the world: Xiaomian. Xiaomian is a Chinese broth noodle soup from Chongqing, a city in central China. This soup is quite particular because its broth is made out of Sichuan Peppercorn. The Sichuan Peppercorn has its kick of spice but it is known for its numbness rather than its spiciness. The broth is what makes this dish so delicious. It does have noodles and typically ground pork on top, which is my favorite addition, but you can also put peas or other type of meats. The best place in the USA that serves Xiaomian, in my opinion, is Noodle House China in Plano, TX and the address is 141 Spring Creek Pkwy #413, Plano, TX 75023. It will not disappoint.
